Resume and business card final
March 29, 2012
Using the 2 columns for my resume has stayed constant. In the final iteration I did a lot more with cleaning up what was on my resume. I pulled the 2 columns apart so they don’t blend into each other. I shortened what I said under descriptions because my crits where that they were too wordy. I also brighten the color of maroon that I used, cause my previous iteration was a little more brown than red. I also kept with the 2 types of Universe fonts. I originally placed san-serif’s in however, because of how much information I had, the thins got too thin, and didn’t read as well.
My business card takes the same logo as my name, however I was a little more playful with the orientation. I extended the “L” from the front to back to make it more continuous, and played with the inverse of the colors on the front and back. I rotated my entire logo, from the previous orientation cause I wanted the effect of having my name go off the page. and I also used the L to divide my digital and analog skills.

Still taking the two column approach because the first is read as a list. In this revision the only font that is used is Universe. The color is only to show the headline for the catagories: this because I do not want a large font, so to make it stand out, I used a dark maroon color. I want the employer to be drawn to the activities I did, so the largest hierarch is the Clubs and companies on my resume. I also played with multiple ways to do my logo, again keeping with the Universe font to stay constant. Because my name is short I played around different ways to make it more interesting.
My Business card takes the same logo as my resume. The screen is split to show a screen shot of what is the front and the back. Color was introduced to make more of a connection to the resume. I am not sure about the final design, but currently I am working with showing my skills on the business card as well.
Here is this sample of different type of fonts (Didot, Abadi, and Universe) that I played with for the logo. I did not like Didot, so I played more with the lather two.

The Sketches done in class. Using the Rectangular to find a page format that expressed the header and body of a resume. In the second row, first column, was the format that intrest me most. Focusing on the simplicity of it.
Using the two column format. Placing the skill sets in one column so that is most readable. The hierarchy for both drafts was 1. the name 2. The firm/school/club 3.location/date 4.farther information. The types of font that were used was Didot and Abadi MT Condensed Light because of the thinness in the contrast to the thicker format of the Serif font. The usage of caps to lower case also proves a contrast using the same Abadi font.

Final poster and ticket
March 8, 2012
In previous Iterations, I had played around with a multitude of different techniques – such as scale, value, rotation, etc. The most important eye-catching aspect I wanted for the poster was for someone to notice the VH1 music company. That’s what will draw the audience into knowing that its a music concert and then they could farther explore with it. If that doesn’t catch their eye the “Best of the 90s” will. Because what else of the 90s is there other than music.
The H is kind of left with not color filler and only with a thin black outline. I realized that at first I may have wanted the VH1 to stand out, however an audience will know the “best of the 90s” so that is kind of contrasted to stand out. The H I utilized to be the divider/ information holder to the different available concerts. It centered and the artist is bolder.
The Ticket uses the same design over, the filler is inverse for the ticket. This was just a change because I wanted variance with the Ticket. because of the sale of the ticket it wouldn’t work horizontal nor vertical so I rotated and placed it off the page slightly.
Poster and ticket, first draft

1. First attempt I am trying to make a logo for VH1. Emphasizing the V
this is a play on the ticket for it. just focusing on the logo
Again The V is that I am most interested in for the logo. the second heirtachy is then the 90. The extension of the V off the page plays with making the page extended then focusing the eye on the 90’s
The VH1, was not a finalized design, so in these designs I wanted to play up (90) because that would draw the users eye to the era.
Repetition of the 90s to make that stand out. However grade it back so I can layer it.
The background Black and see if the letter stand outs. However I think It may be too hard to read.
Rotation and Scale: Pull the page apart, however place the word on the left size to concentrate it.
Playing to see what layer works better together. Playing largely with scale.
Pulling apart the letter. Allows it to be the background. Then creating a grid to separate the foreground. This is currently The one that I am playing with the most for the final
